The Belt of Truth - Pt. 2

Truth Is Power - Open Your Mouth

We live in a day of absolute war against absolute truth. The enemy's end-time strategy is not merely to promote immoral behavior - it is to undermine the very concept of truth itself. Once a generation no longer believes in absolute truth, every piece of the armor of God becomes impossible to put on, because you cannot gird yourself with something you are unwilling to submit to.

⚠ The One-World System

The rising one-world system will be built on the premise that truth is relative - that Jesus is truth to you, Muhammad to another, Buddha to someone else. They will call it tolerance. They will call it unity. But it is a lie from the pit of hell. There is one truth. There is one way. There is one life. And His name is Jesus. Jesus did not say He was a truth among many. He said: "I am the way, I am truth, I am the life" (John 14:6).

The belt of truth is not only a defensive weapon - it is an offensive weapon. And the way you release it offensively is by opening your mouth and speaking it. When God opens His mouth and speaks, the power that upholds and propels the universe is released. That same power is available to us: "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you" (John 20:21). What the Father speaks comes to pass. And when we speak His truth, that same creative power is released through our mouths.

⚠ Why the Devil Silences You

He does it through the accusation of intolerance. If you stand against sexual immorality: "You're intolerant." If you call sin what it is: "You're out of touch, irrelevant, divisive." Hollywood understands that the preaching of truth is a weapon - so they make God's people ashamed of it. Once you are silent, lies prosper unchallenged. When preachers soften their message to avoid discomfort, they give the enemy a free pass.

★ God Is Raising Up a Generation

Nobodies from nowhere. Fearless. Who will open their mouths in any situation, in any setting, and speak truth. And when they do, the same power that created the heavens and the earth, the same power that upholds and propels the universe, will come out of their mouths and destroy the strongholds of the enemy.

"I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; your sons and daughters shall prophesy" (Joel 2:28) - they will declare the Word of the Lord. Open your mouth and speak truth.

When you speak truth, you speak it with mercy. Proverbs 16:6: "In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity." We do not speak it with the spirit of judgment. We speak it with love, compassion, and the genuine desire to see people set free. But we do not stay silent. Silence in the face of lies is not love; it is cowardice.

Five Things the Word of God Does - Part 1

"For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart." Hebrews 4:12-13 (AMPC)

This is not a nice religious quote. This is a living, active, two-edged sword that gets into the deepest places of human nature and does things no natural force can do. Here are the first three things it does:

1
It Penetrates
The Word of God goes through any barrier - any wall, any hardened heart. People may push back, mock it, or walk away. But the Word still penetrates. It goes in. In Acts 5, when the apostles declared that God raised Jesus from the dead, the religious leaders were furious and plotted to kill them. Why such a dramatic reaction? Because truth penetrated - it cut right through the protective layer of their deception. Say the word God in public: nobody flinches. Say the name Jesus with spiritual weight: the atmosphere changes. Truth penetrates.
2
It Exposes
The Word exposes lies. You cannot fight a lie you do not know is a lie. Consistent exposure to truth exposes every lie the devil has embedded in your thinking. In Mark 2, Jesus saw the scribes reasoning silently in their hearts and said: "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?" He exposed their inner doubts without a word leaving their lips. God wants sin exposed because exposed sin can be repented of. Hidden sin festers and destroys. "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them" (Eph. 5:11 ESV). A church that never preaches truth to avoid discomfort is not a hospital - it is a morgue.
3
It Judges
When the Word judges error in your life, it will cause your flesh to rise up. But there are two types of judgment: sitting as final judge (God's alone) and discerning. "The spiritual man tries all things [he examines, investigates, discerns all things]" (1 Cor. 2:15 AMPC). It is not I who judge you - it is the Word I speak. John 12:48: "The word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day." Conviction is uncomfortable - but infinitely better to have the judgment of God now, while repentance is available, than to face it later when it is not.

Five Things the Word of God Does - Part 2

4
It Brings Things to Light
Jesus is the light of the world. The light of truth reveals all dark and hidden things in our hearts - not to shame us, but to deliver us. "But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible" (Eph. 5:13 ESV). Hidden fears, buried wounds, secret agreements with lies - these lose their power when brought into the light. You cannot be trapped by what you can fully see. When you speak truth into the spiritual atmosphere, it drives back the works of darkness. The light does not negotiate with darkness. It simply invades, and darkness cannot remain where light is present.
5
It Leads to Godliness
Titus 1:1: "The acknowledgment of the truth which accords with godliness." The knowledge of truth leads to godliness. Without truth, you will not be transformed. When responded to in repentance and obedience, the Word is literally written into your inner man. It creates a new nature - a heart that desires God, that hates sin not because a rule demands it but because your heart has been re-formed to genuinely love what God loves and hate what God hates. That is godliness. God has not left your Christian walk up to you. Your struggling is not glorifying to Him; your overcoming glorifies Him.
"I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Jeremiah 31:33
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26

God has covenanted to write His Word upon your heart and mind. As you respond to the Word in repentance and obedience, it is literally written into your inner man. Your nature is re-formed by truth into the nature of God - not grinding it out in the natural, but transformed from the inside out.

The light of truth reveals hidden things not to us, but to deliver us.
You cannot be by what you can fully see - truth exposes snares before you step into them.

Truth Robs the Enemy of His Only Weapon

Truth is both a defensive and an offensive weapon. Defensively, it fortifies your mind, protects your imagination, and shields you so no weapon formed against you can prosper. When you dwell in truth, you are girded, supported, unshakable.

But offensively, truth does something even more decisive: it robs the devil of his only weapon, which is deception.

The Enemy's Only Weapon

He cannot force you to sin. He cannot override your will. He cannot compel your obedience. All he can do is deceive you. Once deceived, you yield your power and authority to him voluntarily. That is the only door through which he gets access.

What Truth Does to That Weapon

When you walk in truth, his lies find no landing strip. His deceptions cannot take root. Every thought against the knowledge of God is immediately recognized and cast down. The belt of truth on removes his only weapon.

Eve was deceived in the garden. The devil has not changed his strategy in thousands of years. He has only one weapon. When you walk in truth, when the belt of truth is on, when you are girded up in the loins of your mind with the living Word of God, the devil has nothing to work with.

⚠ This Is Why the Belt Is First

Everything else stands or falls on this. Without the belt of truth girding all the other pieces together, none of the rest of the armor will hold. Do not go to the Word of God to find support for what you already believe. Go to discover what is true. Humble yourself before it. Yield to it. Let it expose you, judge you, renew you, and lead you into godliness. That is when the belt is on. That is when you are truly armed.

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." Mark 13:31

"To the degree that you have accepted God as absolute truth, to that same degree, you will be able to walk in the depth of relationship with Him. Until you believe God to be absolute truth, you will always waver in your Christian walk."
