True Grace
Section 1 - The Mature and the Immature

The Six Foundational Doctrines of Christ (Hebrews 6:1-2)
The word used for doctrine here is logos - the same word used for Christ in John 1. These are not advanced teachings. They are the beginning thought patterns of Christ. List and study each one:

| 1 | Repentance from dead works | |
| 2 | Faith toward God | |
| 3 | The doctrine of baptisms | |
| 4 | Laying on of hands | |

Section 2 - Grace and Peace Through the Knowledge of God
Section Two
Fill in the Blanks
Grace and peace are to us through the knowledge of God.
All things we need for life and godliness come through the knowledge of Him.
Most Christians define grace as: when you do something wrong and deserve judgment, but are not held accountable. But that is not grace - that is .
When people misunderstand grace they will either collapse under or rise up and accuse the teacher of preaching .
Hebrews 4:16 says: Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy. Notice: you come to grace in order to obtain mercy. Grace precedes mercy. They are related, but they are not the same thing.

Section 3 - What Grace Actually Is
Section Three
Write this definition until it becomes yours:
Grace is the undeserved favor of God that gives us access to the power of God for everything we need for life and godliness.
Fill in the Blanks
Grace is not a license for no . It is not a get-out-of-hell-free card.
When you have with someone, they can use their for your benefit. That is how favor works.
The Minister of Transportation story illustrates that favor gives access to . One call to a higher power changed everything.
God is saying: You do not deserve access to Me or My power. But I am giving you , so you can access My power for everything you need for life and godliness.
In your own words, explain the difference between grace and mercy using Hebrews 4:16.
